Inside the shed

For the morbidly curious, I’ll post some of the projects I’m working on in school. For the most part, these will be Quicktime movies of assignments for CFS, but I may post assignments from other classes from time to time. Unless otherwise noted, I’ll post projects as I handed them in. If I feel like it and have time, I may post modified versions after getting feedback from my instructors.

You can subscribe to this like a podcast if you want, and the videos should be video iPod ready.

This video continues the story from the Dialogue Exercise. The assignment was to shoot a chase scene, making sure to maintain consistent screen direction between the chaser and the chased. One of the students in our group has a car mount, so we were able to get some pretty cool shots with the camera mounted just above the road. Shooting a car chase was a little scary at times, but definitely a lot of fun!

Lucky you. For this exercise, we finally got to use sync sound. Yes! The assignment was to shoot a dialogue scene between two characters. We had a lot of fun with this one, and shot with a pretty big group, but everyone really contributed. Filmmaking is unquestionably a collaborative process. I made one or two minor changes from the version I turned in in class, based on feedback from my teachers.
